Global South Climate Tech

The Global South Climate Tech podcast grew out of the China Cleantech podcast (see below). Launching in late December 2023, this podcast shares the challenges and triumphs of climate tech innovators in Global South economies to attract better investment, perspectives, and economic prosperity. While the term is imperfect, Global South currently encapsulates most of the world – the many lower to upper middle income economies where the global majority of the population reside. In our definition of the Global South, we also include the Global South that is in the Global North — communities that are disproportionately excluded from access to capital and wealth in high income economies.

China Cleantech 生态创新 is a podcast that features China-connected cleantech innovations and innovators. China Cleantech covers untold stories, with critical commentary by co-hosts Andrew Chang and Marilyn Waite, of green economy endeavors that impact the world’s decarbonization efforts.
